Not coming back.. Not to impressed haircut was terrible and overpriced for a simple military fade...while I was there I saw a man yelling at an employee and honestly I wanted to slam him on the ground for talking to someone like that... come to find out he was the owner of square one...I am a local police officer and veteran I will make sure I tell every officer and soldier to stay away from this place since men should show respect to woman.

Best Salon In Dayton and Surrounding Area. I'm usually not one to write reviews about my experiences, but I had to after my appt with Alan at the Downtown location yesterday. From the moment I walked in, everyone was so friendly and happy! I received a glass of water as soon as I arrived and was taken to the waiting area. Within a few minutes Alan came over to introduce himself and we talked about what I wanted from my hair, along with his ideas and suggestions. While I was waiting for the color to take affect I was treated to a hand and arm massage (I can't remember her name, but it was awesome!). I then went back to get shampooed and experienced an out of this world scalp massage as well as a mini facial. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had and I have lived all over. My hair color and cut was beyond my expectations and I was so happy I finally found someone who not only excelled at their job, but was such a pleasure to talk to. I made sure to tell everyone I worked with today how wonderful my time spent at Square One was!! I'm already anticipating my next appointment...it just stinks that I have to wait until November!

I love them & here is why. I am very appreciative of the people at Square One. They help me with my skin, nails and now hair. I first went for help with my skin and later my nails. The people they have are nice and are very good. I have used other salons that are also good here in the local area but Square OIne seems to be at the top of their game.

What prompted me to write this is I got a cut last night and it is (without exageration) the best I have ever had.

They so have me. What a special team of people they have. I hope this helps someone to decide. (I use the downtown location in Dayton)

Quality Mid-Priced Salon in Centerville. I really enjoyed my experience at Square One. I'm super picky about hair styles. I told my stylist what I wanted and what I didn't want and she created a really good look for me. Plus I enjoy the complementary mini facials. Everyone was friendly from the receptionists to my stylists. I will definitely be returning to Square One.

Small Town. They don't know better

The poor things are terrible at customer service - but they do not know any better (and either do their customers). Can not think of a one of the front desk workers, that would make it in an up scale salon. The hairdressers make no secret that they dislike the management. The place is a mess. At one time, the owners may have been able to produce quality service, but know they are so distracted with external stakeholders, that they have abandon quality for profit. And to prove that I'm really petty - the workers dress like they are poor servants.

not impresssed. Well I guess this is the worst salon experience I have had in dayton. The salon was recommended by my neighbor her hair looks ok, they carry the products I use and the salon looks good , ( centerville) . The moment I walked in the salon I knew I made a mistake the people were very pretentous, they woman that I went to was very inexperienced and we spoke about what I wanted but she didnt listen to a word I said , I specifically said I did not want my hair thinned out or razored, but she did and my hair is destroyed its going to take a long time for this to grow out, I will not be returning and will not recommend the salon to anyone. Beware !

Not What It's Made Out To Be....... Dear God, where do I begin?! Oh yeah, I know where, the 5 min. wait on hold only to be treated like booking my appointment was a bother. When a customer calls and tells you what days and times are good why in the heck would you ask if any other days or times are ok? Then I ask where do I park for my appointment and I'm promptly told there are meters, a side road, and basically a back alley behind a church ( now that's classy). So, I get there after 5 minutes of driving around the block a few times and let me tell you walking through the door was just fantastic. Just walk in with your head down unless you want to see every one of the stylists who work in the front give you the stare down. I go to the desk to check in and was taken over to the sitting area where I got to listen to another customer on her cell phone. I had to ask a passing employee where the restrooms are. Which I have to say, unless you want to hear who's sleeping with who through the thin walls use the restroom in the massage area. So I get to the stylist where I get a hair pulling massage in the chair and no massage in the shampoo chair. Nevermind I think the same cape was put on me from the last person. I tell my stylist I want a basic simple cut with no texturizing and what do I get??!! A high maintanence style with short pieces because of the texturizing. I should mention that I LOVED the all the talk about all the sylists personal lives because I should really should care about what they all were doing this past weekend. So I went to the restroom to give it a go through (this is where I found the other one) and I get to the front to pay where I find products waiting for me. I didn't ask for them to be put there. They were there like I was obligated to buy them in which I didn't. I reluctantly paid for my service and walked the 2 block trek back to my car.

Pretentious. Let's cut to the chase...They turned my hair green! My hair is naturally brown. I asked for an all over color of a slightly darker brown to liven things up a bit. It looked ok until I got into natural light! It was very obviously tinted green! The people were pretentious and NOT friendly. I will never return to Square One again. Way too expensive for the quality.
