Small Town

They don't know better

The poor things are terrible at customer service - but they do not know any better (and either do their customers). Can not think of a one of the front desk workers, that would make it in an up scale salon. The hairdressers make no secret that they dislike the management. The place is a mess. At one time, the owners may have been able to produce quality service, but know they are so distracted with external stakeholders, that they have abandon quality for profit. And to prove that I'm really petty - the workers dress like they are poor servants.

  • Pros: Living of their past
  • Cons: Small town mentality

Well I guess this is the worst salon experience I have had in dayton. The salon was recommended by my neighbor her hair looks ok, they carry the products I use and the salon looks good , ( centerville) . The moment I walked in the salon I knew I made a mistake the people were very pretentous, they woman that I went to was very inexperienced and we spoke about what I wanted but she didnt listen to a word I said , I specifically said I did not want my hair thinned out or razored, but she did and my hair is destroyed its going to take a long time for this to grow out, I will not be returning and will not recommend the salon to anyone. Beware !

  • Pros: beautiful salon good location
  • Cons: high price and lack of technical skill and didnt listen

Not What It's Made Out To Be......

by rocker003 at Citysearch

Dear God, where do I begin?! Oh yeah, I know where, the 5 min. wait on hold only to be treated like booking my appointment was a bother. When a customer calls and tells you what days and times are good why in the heck would you ask if any other days or times are ok? Then I ask where do I park for my appointment and I'm promptly told there are meters, a side road, and basically a back alley behind a church ( now that's classy). So, I get there after 5 minutes of driving around the block a few times and let me tell you walking through the door was just fantastic. Just walk in with your head down unless you want to see every one of the stylists who work in the front give you the stare down. I go to the desk to check in and was taken over to the sitting area where I got to listen to another customer on her cell phone. I had to ask a passing employee where the restrooms are. Which I have to say, unless you want to hear who's sleeping with who through the thin walls use the restroom in the massage area. So I get to the stylist where I get a hair pulling massage in the chair and no massage in the shampoo chair. Nevermind I think the same cape was put on me from the last person. I tell my stylist I want a basic simple cut with no texturizing and what do I get??!! A high maintanence style with short pieces because of the texturizing. I should mention that I LOVED the all the talk about all the sylists personal lives because I should really should care about what they all were doing this past weekend. So I went to the restroom to give it a go through (this is where I found the other one) and I get to the front to pay where I find products waiting for me. I didn't ask for them to be put there. They were there like I was obligated to buy them in which I didn't. I reluctantly paid for my service and walked the 2 block trek back to my car.

  • Pros: They carry Aveda but so do 7 other places close by
  • Cons: parking, staff, prices( wasn't told the price the stylist charges)
