Local steak place in Miamisburg needs a makeover!. I had heard a lot about Grub Steak restaurant and was excited to try it out. Back in the "day" this was the place to go for steak in Dayton. Unfortunately, it seems they are still living back in the day!

They were right on time when they told us our table would be about 20 minutes. But, once we sat down it took our server a quite a while to greet us. Most of the servers and the bartender were older and none of them looked like they were happy to be there.

We all had the New York Strip with baked potatoes. The steak was prepared the way we asked but was not seasoned well at all. The baked potatoes were drowning in butter. Considering the prices that they are charging at Grub Steak, the steak should be amazing.

The decor in this restaurant is old, uninteresting, and dingy looking. They really need to update their look.

Overall, not a great a experience. Plenty of restaurants in Dayton are charging the prices that Grub Steak is but with better food, ambiance and service so why would we go back?
