Dr. Robert Bloom.
My son was a preemie (13 weeks early) and Dr. Robert Bloom was assigned to the NICU where he spent his first two months.
We have had generally good experiences with the practice. My son has needed glasses since age 3. They specialize in children's eye care, and I trust they know what they are doing. I ask questions until I understand what is happening, so I haven't experiened any problems with too little sharing of information.
We did see a general practitioner once because the Bloom practice is an hour's drive for us. Comparatively, the doctor spent just as much time but was unhelpful with questions relating to my son's previously diagnosed condition. We switched back to Bloom after just one visit.
The optical shop has always treated us politely. Some days they are more attentive than others, but they have never treated us poorly. They have honored their replacement policy multiple times (2.5 years with a young boy!), and they always explain our choices clearly.…
???. I sure hope he knows what hes doing. He spent 30 secs with my grand daughter and said she needed glasses my strength for a lazy eye. The said it wouldn't wander with the glasses. He was wrong. It is actually much worse now and with the glasses on! I will see him for a follow up and see what he says but I don't get how a 2 sec glimpse in each eye told him she needed 3.25 glasses. Any one else have any input on this Dr.?…
I had a good experience. I have been taking my children to Dr. Bloom for five years. I never have to wait long, and the doctor and staff are always courteous. My daughter was born with a blocked tear duct. The surgery went perfectly, and I was allowed in all places with her except for the operating room itself. My children have special needs, and the staff has never been anything but understanding and patient with them. I would recommend him based on my own experience.…

Dr. Bloom's Office. My son was refered to Dr. Bloom to have his tear duct opened. The doc office refused to let me in the room with my one year old, then they proceeded to do the wrong eye. I recieved no apology had to pay for both visits where they corrected their mistake. I would never recommend this eye doctor to anyone's child. They were horrible and extremely rude.…
