Ribs and Memories. When I think about Old Hickory on Brown St. it brings backs so many memories. My Mom was the first to take me there in my late teens, then went there for Prom Night and other dances from high school, then with husband and friends after marriage, then with our all girl card club to celebrate each one of the 8 on their birthdays, then spur of the moment with my friend Annette, now in my mid 60's I can tell all of you that no matter the decor, the wait, the crowd, it is THE BEST ribs, baked potato, and HOUSE dressing ever...and after all these years I still LOVE to go there and am going this Tuesday with my friend once again...go see and taste for yourself....you will agree I am sure....oh, and i forgot the BEST coffee as well and you can't BEAT the mems you will acquire there.

YUM YUM, I loves me some SAUCE!!!!!. I done been going der for years, eatin up all the chicken. When people axe me where I am going, I simply reply, da chicken house of love. The bbq sauce is tangy and dynamite! Hash browns, dont mind if I do! It is worth the wait standing in line for the complimentary wine, merlot if you will. The bartendors appearence would suggest they should be employeed at krotchkis bar and grill, and absolute must place to wine and dine! BRAVO, BRAVO OLD HICKORY!

If you havent tried it, your missing out!. I absolutely Love Hickory BBQ! I started going there 18 Years ago when I was just dating my husband. He had grown up In Miamisburg and we make trips up several times a year and when we come we always go to Hickory BBQ and Ron's Pizza. I use to always get their fillet, but then I tried the BBQ Chicken and now that is all I eat. It isn't a fancy restaurant and most of the time you do have to stand in line, but let me just say it is worth it.

Not Fancy..Good Food. Here's the deal on this place ... 2 people can eat half a bbq chicken with potato, salad and extra side and get out for under $20.00. The 1/2 BBQ chicken is the best around, big portion, lots of sauce, and tasty. The sweet potato is always a good choice but sometimes a regular baked hits the spot. If you are a true native then the stewed tomatoes are good but not the best in town. It's not fancy and you won't impress your out of town friends but if you want a good meal that not's too crazy expensive, The Old Hickory works. Don't forget about the N. Main location as well as Brown Street.

A Piece of History. I've been going to the Hickory BBQ since I was a child. It's not a fancy place by anyone's standards, they don't take reservations and sometimes the line will go out the front door and around the corner! Still, in my experience, worth the wait. And while I've heard the BBQ is good, I always have the T-bone steak, just like my dad always did!

Hickory Bar-b-que. The ribs were nothing to boast about. Meat was tough and overcooked. I spent alot more money than I would have at another well-known rib restaraunt, and was much less satisfied.
