Tips for Milano's Atlantic City Subs

Good food, served fast, pleasant staff, but OH, that music. I've never been to Atlantic City, so I can't speak to the authenticity of the subs. I had the Ham Grinder, described on their menu as "Ham, cheddar cheese, onions, crushed red peppers, Hellmann’s mayonnaise, and pizza sauce", but I could not find a speck of pizza sauce on my sandwich. Still, it was toasted nicely and served fresh and hot, and I enjoyed the sandwich. It was also delivered quickly to my table, so I appreciate the speedy service.

I also requested the Roasted Potatoes on the side. For some reason, I actually expected "roasted potatoes", as the name implied, but Milano's apparently thinks roasted means "broasted style". Any chef knows that broasted does NOT equal roasted. Roasted would have been a healthy alternative, but if you want potatoes at Milano's, they gotta be fried, and might even be smothered in cheese.

The last thing I have to comment on is the awful music I was subjected to for the 40 minutes that I was there. For 40 minutes, I heard nothing but dance music. Now mind you, I was there at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Who wouldn't want to listen to absent-minded dance music all afternoon? Worse yet, EVERY song (accept one, which was an instrumental) utilized that ridiculous electronic auto-tune effect on the vocals. Is this really what young college-aged students listen to non-stop these days?

PRO: good sandwiches, served hot and fresh, speedy service.

CON: all potatoes are fried, awful music

The Best Atlantic City Subs (period).. The owners of Milano's really did their homework when building the new restaurant near the University of Dayton on Brown Street. The ambiance of this restaurant is great, the food is top notch as far as subs, pizzas, and cheesesteaks go. Where else can you get a true cheesesteak and have a beer? They are open until 2 am on weekends (for that late night craving), I am just entirely impressed.
