Outrageous Emergency Room charges!. When my daughter suffered a bruise in her lower back after an auto accident, I was told to take her to the ER by the officer, so better safe than sorry. They kept her for an hour and a half and just for the Lab, X-ray & ER charged me $3384 (doctors were still more). Problem is that my auto insurance ran the #s and Miami Valley charges above fair and reasonable (what other hospitals charge) so they denied $385. MVH says I have to pay the rest, they are allowed to charge whatever they feel is appropriate, even if more than others. The facility features a cathedral ceiling and marble floors--ostentatious. Then they're gouging us so they can work in a taj mahal. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU'RE SUPER RICH! SHAME SHAME SHAME MVH!…
