Hidy Scores No Goal With This Soccer Mom!!!. I was a loyal Hidy Honda customer until my front wheel fell off during a family vacation. I had my 2008 Odyssey in for service and the Hidy mechanic told me I needed new front brakes before driving to Florida. I OK'd the $400 repair bill and the work got done. We loaded up that night and headed to Florida. Just outside of Knoxville, I heard a funny knocking noise AND SUDDENLY MY LEFT FRONT WHEEL FELL OFF! I was able to steer the van off to the road side and call for help. The next day, the Honda dealer we were towed to stated that the wheel nuts were sheared clean off. Also, they had trouble getting all of the other nuts loose and told me that the last service place that worked on my van tightened them way too much causing the wheel to fall off. When I told them that Hidy Honda mechanics were the last guys to touch my wheels less than a day ago, they just shook their heads and walked away. Anyway, Honda of America made good and replaced the brake rotor, some kind of shield, a lower arm, all of the nuts, and a driveshaft. The tow truck driver found the wheel and brought it in with the van. Everything else was checked, again, and we were assured that the wheels wouldn't fall off, again. The whole thing was very scary. When I got back to Dayton, I tried to call the owner of Hidy Honda, but none of my calls were ever returned. Since Honda took care of the repair and motel bills, and none of us were hurt, I guess I should be happy. I just can't get over that a Certified Honda Dealership with Certified Honda Trained Mechanics could make such a careless mistake. I wonder how many other family vacations Hidy Honda messed up. Since they didn't even care enough to call me back and apologize, I'll never go back to Hidy for another Honda or for service!…
I Must Be A Sucker For Hidy!.
Stumbled across some bad reports about Hidy and thought I'd test them. Bought my new Accord there earlier this year and it came time for the first oil change. Marked the rear wheels on the inside
with a white crayon, put my initials on the oil filter, and put a piece of scotch tape on the air filter box seam.
Got there first thing in the AM and was met by a short dark-haired women with lots of earrings. Seemed she had a bad night because she wasn't very friendly. Answered her questions and she took my car away.
Waited 3-hours in the waiting room before anyone came to get me. The woman I checked in with got me, told me everything checked good, the oil change was done, that my tires were switched around, and that my air filter would need to be changed next time. Paid the bill and left.
Got home, found the rear wheels in the same spot, found my initials still on the oil filter, and the scotch tape was not disturbed. Took it in to a shop near my home and was told the oil plug had not been removed.
Looks like the bad service reports have merit. Looks like I've been indoctrinated into the Hidy Honda Sucker Club! Next stop: my attorney's office!…
love our CRV!. We have been very satisfied with the CRV and with Hidy Honda. Our service advisor, Sherri, is always polite and takes the time necessary to explain what is needed. She is knowledgeable and friendly, and is a great representative for Hidy Honda. The staff are competent, well groomed, and project a professional air to the customers. The facility is clean and well organized. Prices are fair, service is good, and we are happy with our dealer and the service department.…
Really positive experience. This visit was another really positive experience for me at Hidy Honda. I have such confidence in this service department! I was immediately greeted, and continued to be greeted by other employees in the hall and in the waiting area. John was my service advisor for this trip. I just think he's great. He's very profesionnal and made sure I knew what to expect, plus John followed up with me when he said he would. I really appreciate the transportation service. The drivers were professional, timely and safe. I enjoyed talking with both of them. They know how to talk with customers. I also like getting a follow up phone call after the service. Plus Chris, the service manager, called me personally. I'm certain he has 2 million other things going on.... overall, a great experience and I will definitely be back.…
